Welcome to the latest edition of our Education Connections newsletter. As always, we’re covering topics that underscore our commitment to educational quality and innovation. In this edition, we highlight some new course and certification offerings, along with a look at how some of our customers are benefitting from their Commvault® training.

We're also very pleased to announce that Commvault will host its inaugural Commvault user conference, Commvault GO™ 2016, to be held Oct 3-5, 2016 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel and Conference Center, in Orlando, FL.

COMMVAULT'S NEW ENGINEER CERTIFICATION

Discover New Commvault Features in Our V11 Training Course
Commvault's Engineer Certification provides students with advanced-level skills necessary to design and implement Commvault software solutions.

Our new Commvault Engineer certification demonstrates that you've achieved advanced-level skills in designing and implementing Commvault software, culminating with successful completion of the Advanced Infrastructure Design exam.

This exam validates your expertise in deploying medium- and enterprise-level CommCell environments with a special focus on storage design, virtual environment protection, and application data protection strategies.

The Commvault Engineer certification requires prior certification as a Commvault Certified Professional. To learn more, visit the Certification page on the Education Advantage portal.

Commvault Launches the Next Generation of Its Solutions Portfolio
Commvault's Advanced Infrastructure Design course provides best-practice guidance for design, configuration and application protection.

We’re pleased to announce the introduction of our Advanced Infrastructure Design course, designed to quickly take your Commvault® expertise to the next level!

Learn how to apply advanced infrastructure design concepts to get the most out of your Commvault environment. Working in a virtual infrastructure, you'll learn current best practices in CommCell® design, storage configuration, and application protection, helping you to optimize your Commvault environment and getting the most out of your IT investment.

Structured as an interactive design and implementation project, Advanced Infrastructure Design will take you, step-by-step, through how to optimally plan for CommServe® placement, MediaAgent scaling, deduplication engine design, snapshot implementation, and Virtual Server Agent configuration. MEET THE INSTRUCTOR  
 

HENK FIKKE

Henk Fikke, Senior Technical TrainerSenior Technical Trainer, EMEA

Henk Fikke joined Commvault in November 2013 as a Senior Technical Trainer, but has been teaching Commvault classes since 2004.

Working in the I.T. field since 1982, Henk has been conducting I.T.-related training since 1993. In his previous job as a consultant and trainer, he gained a wealth of real-life experience with a wide variety of Commvault environments at customer sites. Henk now uses this experience as a basis for teaching students "how it works in real life.”

Henk teaches classes for the Professional and Engineer certifications across Europe and the Middle East. Previously, Henk taught EMC2 courses while at Telindus. Henk's experience in the storage domain has helped him in teaching students "where to look" when troubleshooting performance issues.

Henk is married and lives with his wife and two daughters in Duiven, The Netherlands, right between the Utrecht and Oberhausen Commvault offices, and also between Amsterdam Schiphol and Duesseldorf International Airport. His hobbies include genealogy, ballroom dancing, singing and reading.
