Explore the exciting feature enhancements and additions to the next generation of Commvault^® software. Learn about product changes and configuration options before upgrading your Commvault environment.

 

This new course focuses on a variety of feature changes including security, indexing, deduplication, storage policies, and virtualization, and includes a V11 supplemental guide, along with access to the V11 CVLab environment. You will learn how to:

• Compare and contrast differences between user and group security, and the new role based security.
• Understand the concepts of Commvault V2 indexing structure.
• Learn Commvault deduplication enhancements including in memory DDB, four partition policies, and data verification.
• Configure global secondary policies for efficient tape management.
• Learn the new VSA methodology for VM load distribution for enhanced backup performance.

This training is available in both the Virtual Instructor-Led (vILT) and eLearning formats. You can register for either in the column to the right. Simply choose your region and modality.

Commvault's Certification Program validates expertise and advanced knowledge in topics, including Commvault Core Fundamentals, Implementation and Maintenance, Preparing for Disaster Recovery and more advanced Specialist and Master technologies.

 

Our data has shown that attaining Commvault Certifications and maintaining them at the current release level is the single most important driver of self-sufficiency and productivity. Commvault customer support data for 2014 and 2015 was analyzed and shows a direct correlation between the support incident volume and depth of skills and certification. 

 

Individuals who are Master Certified log 2.5 times fewer incidents than those with Professional Certifications; who, themselves, log up to 7 times fewer incidents than those without the Professional certification. Certification Exam Preparation Sessions

In support of our customers requiring extra assistance in attaining their certifications, we will begin offering Certification Exam preparation sessions. The Professional Certification exam preparation session will be 1/2 day in duration and be offered globally via Virtual Instructor-led sessions beginning in January 2016. Additional exam preparation sessions for the Specialist and Master Certifications will be added when the V11 Certification Exams are released.

Senior Technical Trainer, EMEA

Reiner Klitzsch joined the Commvault Education Services EMEA team in January of 2006. Comprising half of the team at that time, his responsibilities included training, student registration, and classroom management. As the Education Services team grew, he began to expand his focus to include customer training delivery and education, along with support for partner trainers within EMEA.

 

Reiner enjoys combining personal interaction along with the highly technical nature of the training. He is completely at home, in front of an actively discussing class. His credo is: “Transfer knowledge with fun!”

 

After studying chemistry in college, Reiner received his Masters degree, and continued working at the University, eventually finding himself in the role of the chemistry department's IT Administrator. In 1998, he decided that it was time to change his area of focus to the IT business, and formally made the switch.
