“The new Commvault release both leapfrogs point solution vendors in capabilities and functionality while also showcasing the performance, security, compliance, and economic benefits of a holistic data management strategy.”

Welcome to the latest edition of our Education Connections newsletter. As always, we’re covering topics that underscore our commitment to educational quality and innovation. This innovation enables our customers to leverage all of the capabilities that are built into Commvault’s data management solutions.

Speaking of innovations, the big news here at Commvault has been the announcement of its latest evolution, kicking-off a series of incremental innovations that will collectively define our next-generation approach to data protection and data management.

For professionals using our solutions, it’s more important than ever to refresh and deepen their software knowledge, in order to take full advantage of our latest technology, and to stay current and competitive within their respective industries.

These enhancements are accompanied by a new business model that delivers innovation through software applications along with an open data platform, one that enables customers and third parties to innovate and add value. Over the next couple of months, we'll be talking a lot about these changes and how they will benefit you; in the meantime, you can learn more by checking out the Commvault Next Generation Portfolion press release redferenced in this newsletter.

To take fullest advantage of the features enabled by the new platform, we're offering courses that provide in-depth, hands-on training with this eleventh major version of Commvault solutions.

We continue to add new self-paced eLearning titles — see the ‘What’s New’ section of the Education Advantage Website — and check back often to see new and/or updated titles. It is Commvault’s mission to deliver the best technical learning experience. Your feedback, collaboration and active participation shapes that ongoing effort

For professionals using our solutions it’s important to refresh and deepen their software knowledge, in order to stay current and competitive. We recognize that it’s hard to find time — let alone funding — for training. Which is why we offer our training through a variety of different modalities, so you can choose the right training, at the right time, and in the right manner, that meets the needs of your particular situation.

Our comprehensive suite of education programs, training courses, and Commvault certifications are designed to give your workforce the knowledge and skills they need to maximize the power of your Commvault solution. You can create a personalized training plan that empowers your users with courses that are designed to meet their unique needs — taught live, online, or through flexible eLearning options — and ultimately boost software and technology proficiency across your entire organization.

What's in this edition:

  • Commvault Unveils Next-Generation Solutions Portfolio — This eleventh version of Commvault's industry-leading solutions portfolio has been redesigned from the ground up to help you accelerate the transformation from mere data management to a much more proactive approach that will enable you to unlock critical insight and business value from your data. We're very excited about these enhancements, and are redesigning our training offerings and certification programs to enable you to take fullest advantage of them.
  • Discover the New Features on our V11 Training Course — As we shift to our most robust platform ever, we want to make sure that our users have the opportunity to learn about the changes to the product and configuration options before upgrading their Commvault environment. The V11 New Features Course focuses on a variety of enhancements, and includes access to the V11 CVLab environment for hands-on experimentation.
  • Commvault Certification — Our data has shown that attaining Commvault Certifications and maintaining them at the current release level is the single most important driver of self-sufficiency and productivity. Commvault customer support data for 2014 and 2015 was analyzed and shows a direct correlation between the support incident volume and depth of skills and certification. Individuals who are Master Certified log 2.5 times fewer incidents than those with Professional Certifications, who, themselves, log up to 7 times fewer incidents than those without the Professional certification. Commvault's Master Certification provides additional benefits, including free, Invitation-Only training events. To learn more about Commvault's Certification program, or to see the latest Certification news and planned release dates for V11 Certifications, visit us at https://ea.commvault.com/Education/Certification.
  • Voice of the Learner — Our strong commitment to quality training is designed to help you improve your ability to operate, manage, and optimize Commvault capabilities in your environment. In order to deliver a consistently positive training experience, we regularly solicit feedback from our students. You'll see some of the latest feedback from our learners in the accompanying article. One of our most recent surveys indicated that a full 92% of those surveyed found that their Commvault training had a "positive or better" impact on their ability to be successful in their job. While we are always pleased to hear good news such as that, we rely heavily on the feedback of our students to help us remain on the right track. So if you ever receive a survey about your experience with Commvault training, we urge you to take a moment to respond, because your feedback — positive or otherwise — is very important to us, and is always greatly appreciated!
  • Meet the Instructor — Training that is highly technical in nature requires not only command of the material, but also — and perhaps more importantly — the skills necessary to communicate it in a way that will be most meaningful to students. Our instructors are not only experts in the data management field with 8-10 years’ average experience with Commvault software, but also highly trained in the educational methods and techniques that are most effective in the classroom. This edition profiles Martin WIlliams, a Senior Technical Trainer based in the United Kingdom. We will continue to share profiles about other team members in future issues.
  • Special Offer for Our North American Customers — For a limited time, we're providing yet another reason to bolster your Commvault training credentials. Simply purchase 5 days of publicly-scheduled Commvault training from our Education Services Team on or before January 15, 2016. Once you've competed your training, you will receive an Amazon Gift Voucher that you can redeem for whatever catches your eye! See the article for more details.

At Commvault, we continue to innovate with creative learning solutions that enable you to learn on your terms, whenever and wherever you choose. With the ability to learn in the classroom, online with a live instructor, or utilizing a hybrid methodology that combines the best aspects of eLearning with hands-on work in online labs, we are confident that you will find the right learning method that supports your professional growth objectives and brings additional value to your role and to your organization.

Sincerely,
