“Empower your users with courses that are designed to meet their unique needs — taught live, online, or through flexible eLearning options — and ultimately boost software and technology proficiency across your entire organization.”

Welcome to the latest edition of our Education Connections newsletter. As always, we’re covering topics that underscore our commitment to educational quality and innovation. This innovation enables our customers to leverage all of the capabilities that are built into Commvault’s data management solutions.

For professionals using our solutions it’s important to refresh and deepen their software knowledge, in order to stay current and competitive. We recognize that it’s hard to find time – let alone funding – for training. Which is why we offer our training through a variety of different modalities, so you can choose the right training, at the right time, and in the right manner, that meets the needs of your particular situation.

Our comprehensive suite of education programs, training courses, and Commvault certifications are designed to give your workforce the knowledge and skills they need to maximize the power of your Commvault solution. You can create a personalized training plan that empowers your users with courses that are designed to meet their unique needs — taught live, online, or through flexible eLearning options — and ultimately boost software and technology proficiency across your entire organization.

What's in this edition:

  • Commvault Launches New Brand and Website — Commvault debuted a refreshed brand image at the Microsoft Ignite conference in Chicago, in early May. This corporate brand overhaul includes a new logo, a more vibrant color palette, more sharply focused product messaging, and images that better reflect both our industry and our vision for it. Our product naming will become more clarified, our messaging more compelling, and our website more effective at showcasing our broad solution and services portfolio.
  • Survey: How Do You like Your Web Content Served? — As we become a more mobile workforce, the ways in which we engage with information is changing dramatically. Who would have guessed, even 5 years ago, that we'd be viewing a growing portion of general web content on our smartphones? From 2011 to 2015, smartphone ownership by adults in the U.S. has nearly doubled to nearly 65%, according to the Pew Research Center's "U.S. Smartphone Use in 2015." The majority of these users are young and tech-savvy, and — not surprisingly — so are most of our users and learners. As you might imagine, we're always looking for ways in which we can be more efficient and effective in how we communicate and deliver training and educational content, so this survey will be the first of many that will help us to gauge how we can better serve you in the future.
  • Voice of the Learner — Our strong commitment to quality training is designed to help you improve your ability to operate, manage, and optimize Commvault capabilities in your environment. In order to deliver a consistently positive training experience, we regularly solicit feedback from our students. You'll see some of the latest feedback from our learners in the accompanying article.
  • Flipped Training Update — Beginning in July 2015, we began offering the first of our “Flipped Classroom” training courses, starting with “Deduplication Flipped Training.” The idea behind the Flipped Training concept is to provide a user-directed "hybrid" learning environment that is especially suited to experienced Commvault users who need the flexibility of an “any time, any place” learning environment. After the success we had with our initial offering, we’re expanding the range of “Flipped” courses, and are looking forward to meeting the evolving needs of tech-savvy users everywhere. Stay tuned for announcements of additional courses that utilize the “Flipped” modality.
  • Meet the Instructor — Training that is highly technical in nature requires not only command of the material, but also — and perhaps more importantly — the skills necessary to communicate it in a way that will be most meaningful to students. Our instructors are not only experts in the data management field with 8-10 years’ average experience with Commvault software, but also highly trained in the educational methods and techniques that are most effective in the classroom. This edition profiles Biswanath Das, based out of our office in Hyperabad, India. We will continue to share details about other team members in future issues.
  • News from APAC and EMEA — Being a global organization, there's always something new going on in one or more of the regions served by Commvault. Here's where you'll be updated about the latest happenings within our various operating theaters.

At Commvault, we continue to innovate with creative learning solutions that enable you to learn on your terms, whenever and wherever you choose. With the ability to learn in the classroom, online with a live instructor, or utilizing a hybrid methodology that combines the best aspects of eLearning with hands-on work in online labs, we are confident that you will find the right learning method that supports your professional growth objectives and brings additional value to your role and to your organization.

Sincerely,
